Dr Shravan Tirunagari MBBS DA FRCA FFPMRCA
Dr Shravan Tirunagari has been a Consultant in Pain Medicine and Anaesthesia since 2013 and is currently working at East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust Hospitals. He undertakes private practice at the Pinehill Hospital and One Hadfield Hospital. Dr Tirunagari has been providing medicolegal services to lawyers and expert evidence for the courts since 2020.
Dr Tirunagari gained his medical qualification in 1997 and went on to train at the Oxford School of Anaesthesia. In 2014, he gained his CCT in anaesthesia from the Royal College of Anaesthesia. His training was competency based and covered higher and advanced levels of training in anaesthesia, pain management, and intensive care medicine. Dr Tirunagari later undertook a post CCT fellowship where he learned advanced neuromodulator techniques such as spinal cord stimulator and cancer pain management.
Dr Tirunagari is experienced in the medical and multidisciplinary management of a wide range of chronic pain conditions, now listed in the ICD-11, including chronic primary pain and complex regional pain syndrome, chronic secondary musculoskeletal pain, post-traumatic pain and chronic post-surgical, chronic neuropathic pain and more listed on his CV.
Dr Tirunagari is an educational supervisor for Foundation trainees as well as Anaesthetic trainees. He has been a faculty member for Simulation teaching and also Panel member at National Selection of Anaesthetic trainees both at Core training and Specialist training. He is the guest speaker for Human Factors training in Decision Making, and also organised national conferences on Neuromodulation and Complications Disasters and Aftermath.
